Jagruthi Janam Baata

After being suspended from the BRS, there has been intense speculation about Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s next move in Telangana politics. Some predicted she would launch her own party, while others believed she might join Congress or the BJP. But Kavitha surprised everyone, breaking away from all assumptions with a clear declaration — “My path is the people’s path.” Rather than focusing on what she wants or what she should do, Kavitha has shifted her attention to what Telangana society truly needs and what must be done for its people. She has chosen to embark on a journey to listen to the people, understand their present realities, their needs, and their expectations — a rare and courageous step in today’s politics. By choosing a path no one has walked before, Kavitha has taken up a new people-centric mission, redefining her political identity. This is not merely a comeback — it’s a sincere attempt to rebuild a deeper connection with the people of Telangana.

Beyond Politics — Kavitha’s Path Rooted in People and Principles

Ordinarily, political leaders try to project their own agenda as the people’s agenda — convincing themselves and others that what they believe is what the people believe. They move forward guided by their own perceptions of public will. But Kavitha stands apart. She is not someone who imposes her ideas on the people. Her politics is driven by a genuine love and concern for Telangana society. From the beginning, her vision has been clear — to uphold and spread the rich culture and traditions of Telangana, and to ensure justice and inclusion for every section of its society. It was precisely this conviction that led to her differences with the BRS leadership. If positions and power were her goal, she could have easily remained within the party. But her voice for “Samajika Telangana” — a call for true equality even after the formation of the state — made her stand out. Kavitha believes that despite the achievement of statehood, the promise of justice for all sections of Telangana remains unfulfilled. To bridge that gap, she has chosen a difficult but meaningful path — one that required her to let go of positions, privileges, and even personal ties For her, politics is not about power — it is about purpose.

Kavitha to Embark on “Jagruthi Janambata” — A Journey to Listen, Learn, and Lead

Starting October 25, Kalvakuntla Kavitha is set to launch a people’s outreach movement titled “Jagruthi Janambata” — a journey that aims to reconnect with the soul of Telangana. Through this yatra, Kavitha plans to engage with intellectuals and connect directly with the people to shape an agenda grounded in public aspirations rather than political rhetoric. Over the next four months, she will travel across the length and breadth of Telangana, dedicating four days a week to meeting people — spending two days in each district. During her visits, she is expected to stay at the residences of Telangana Jagruthi cadres, reinforcing her commitment to simplicity, inclusiveness, and grassroots engagement. Her goal is to understand the real hopes and hardships of every section of society — farmers, women, youth, students, intellectuals, journalists, workers, entrepreneurs, poets, and artists alike. She intends to ask a profound question: “How far have we fulfilled the dream for which Telangana was created?” Kavitha believes that only by listening to the people can one truly understand what Telangana society wants and needs today. Her deep affection for Telangana’s culture and traditions continues to inspire her mission. From the beginning, her vision has been clear — that the Telangana achieved through struggle must now bring prosperity and justice to all.

From Within the Party to the People — Kavitha’s Fight for “Samajika Telangana”

Even while she was in the BRS, Kavitha had been fighting internally on the same issue that now defines her journey — the need for a more inclusive and equitable Telangana. Having played a key role in the Telangana statehood movement, where she fought with unyielding determination, Kavitha has always carried a deep concern for the state and its people. Within the BRS, she consistently raised her voice to ensure that the benefits of a hard-won Telangana reached every section of society. It was this uncompromising stance that eventually led to her exit from the party.
Yet, Kavitha has not stepped back. She continues to move forward — declaring that what Telangana needs today is not just a geographical state, but a truly social Telangana. For her, “Samajika Telangana” is not a slogan, but a policy principle — a vision to create justice, opportunity, and dignity for all communities. These words alone reflect the depth of her commitment to building a fair and inclusive society.

Will Kavitha Build a New Political Platform? Telangana Awaits Her Next Move

One major question now capturing public attention is — through which platform will Kavitha continue her struggle? Even she has admitted that she is unsure whether there is still political space in Telangana for a new party. This uncertainty has sparked speculation: Will Kavitha form her own political outfit, or will she continue her movement through the Jagruthi platform? Many analysts, however, believe there is indeed a political vacuum in Telangana today. Since the Congress came to power, public disillusionment with its governance has grown. The BJP, despite some support, continues to be seen as a distant and indifferent force — offering what many describe as “a stepmother’s affection.” The BRS, once viewed as the embodiment of Telangana’s aspirations, has also failed to live up to the people’s expectations. As a result, the state today lacks a voice that truly represents and owns the Telangana spirit. People are waiting for a new platform that can articulate their voice, their hopes, and their struggles. Many believe that Kavitha could fill that void — becoming the voice Telangana now seeks. This growing sentiment is reflected in the strong public response to her recent initiatives. If her upcoming “Jagruthi Janambata” yatra draws similar enthusiasm, political observers suggest it could well pave the way for Kavitha to launch a new political party.

Towards a “Samajika Telangana” — Kavitha’s Vision Gains Momentum

Kavitha has made it clear that her journey forward will be entirely driven by the ideals of Samajika Telangana and the original aspirations of the Telangana movement. With this clarity of purpose, she is gradually winning the support of a wide spectrum of people — from Telangana martyrs’ families, students, and unemployed youth to poets, artists, and cultural voices. As a leader deeply rooted in Telangana’s soil and spirit, Kavitha embodies both the identity and leadership that resonate with the people. If all sections of society rally behind her, it could give her the strength of a thousand elephants — a force that could reshape the state’s political landscape. The outcome of the Jagruthi Janambata initiative is likely to play a decisive role in determining the future political direction of Telangana.
