Every time I visit Appampally, be it during the days of Telangana agitation or today, my heart feels heavier yet stronger. The Telangana spirit within me is renewed, as memories of our brave martyrs echo through this sacred land.
This soil has witnessed courage beyond measure, as men and women belonging to different castes and communities stood as one against the Nizam and landlords to protect our Telangana. Their valour continues to be the light that guides my path.
Much remains to be done for the families of those who embraced martyrdom since 1948. Through my Janam Baata Yatra, I will work towards ensuring that their sacrifices are truly honoured and their legacy preserved for generations to come
